Album: In the beginning - the Worthington Steam Pump Co. Henry Worthington built the first
direct-acting steam pump in 1840, and joined William H. Baker in
1845 to form the firm of Worthington & Baker for the sole purpose of
manufacturing steam pumps. He invented the duplex steam pump in
1857; Worthington continued building steam pumps for over a century.

| Album: Dean Bros. Steam Pump Co. Founded by the five Dean brothers in New York in 1869. The company moved to the south side of Indianapolis some time
in the early 1870's. The company was privately owned until purchased by Met-Pro Corp. in 1984. They changed
the company name to the Dean Pump Division of Met-Pro Corp., and the Dean Pump Division remains in business to this day.
